We're back! And what an amzing trip!
St. Timothy's Youth Group traveled south to the island of Hispaniola for its first-ever international mission trip.The group spent time with Melanie Fitzsimmons, a missionary in the Dominican Republic and a member of St. Timothy's Church, in Santiago and Puerta Plata. Their activities varied throughout the week, from painting and plastering to teaching children sports and Bible stories. Fundraising took place throughout the year to help off-set
the cost of the trip. Thank you to all your generous financial donations and prayers! Our goal was met! Thank you to Northlight Community Center for
lending us your vans to get to and from the airport! Thank you to Ethel Wesley, Brian Sheridan, and Dan Koval for driving us to the airport (at 2 am) and picking us up in Saturday afternoon rush hour traffic!
We had an amazing trip and look forward to doing it again in the future! |
