Outreach
There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in Outreach at St. Tim's - from volunteering with the elderly to communicating with our Companion Parish in Guatemala to helping local children receive presents for Christmas or serving coffee to local needy people during Sunday morning "Coffee Hour" there is something for everyone to do. The Gospel message tells us that we cannot ignore our "neighbors." St. Timothy's works hard at their outreach projects, offering time, energy and love to the greater community. On this page you will find a sampling of projects that happen at St. Tim's throughout the year. If you are interested, contact the leader of the ministry for more information.

Companion Parish: Guatemala
Started by parishioner Megan Terry, this project allows St. Timothy's to have a relationship with La Resurrecion, a church in Guatemala. Each week we pray for our companion parish and they pray for us. This new program is still in forming. To date we have exchanged stories and photos with our brothers and sisters in Guatemala and will soon become more active in supporting their ministries. For more information about the Companion Parish project, click here.

In response to the need of residents of a local personal-care community, parishioner John D., worked with St. Timothy's to form a weekly "Coffee Hour" for the residents, who are often in need of not only a warm cup of coffee or tea, but a warm heart and someone to listen.
Coffee Hour
| At Christmas, St. Timothy’s partners with Northlight Community Center to help make a Christmas celebration possible for local families.
Beginning in November, the parish begins to collect food each Sunday and by December, there is a list of families available to "adopt." By "adopting" a family, you are able to provide local families with Christmas gifts they might not otherwise receive. |

Annual Easter Party @ St. Barnabas Homeless Shelter
For seven years, St. Tim's Youth Group and other parishioners have planned and executed an Easter Party for the women and children at St. Barnabas Homeless Shelter in West Philadelphia. The children listen to the Easter Story, have an Easter Egg Hunt and meet the Easter Bunny. The Youth Group is always looking for helpers for the party. If you're interested in being a part, contact Pat Fitzsimmons
