What is a Vestry? The vestry is the governing board the Episcopal church consisting of 12 lay members. This is the group that usually makes basic decisions about church budget, building plans. Vestries are usually headed by a Senior Warden St. Timothy's Vestry is made-up of 12 lay members of the church, led by the "Rector's Warden." The vestry meets once a month to discuss church business and the members are the decision makers in the church. |
