Christian Education is offered to all peoples starting at 9:15 am Sunday mornings. The "Sunday School" program for children and youth offers one hour of class for pre-school through high-school aged children.
"Sunday School" is split into three classes: pre-school through second grade children, third grade through sixth grade and seventh through twelfth graders. For special occasions such as the Passover Dinner (shown in picture), the classes join together.
Children in the "Sunday School" program get along well with others and are always excited to have new faces in their classes.
St. Timothy's uses the Godly Play curriculum for the youngest children. This program teaches Bible stories and virtues through play and story telling. The Godly Play room has recently been refurbished and is more child-friendly than ever with small tables and chairs, fun carpeting, bright colors and lots of educational toys. The room is even equipped with a child size bathroom.
The middle age group uses a modified version of the Godly Play curriculum with an assortment of supplemental resources. This group explores the basic Bible stories of Godly Play in more depth, learning about the life and times of the key characters.
The oldest group is currently using the Bible as their "textbook." Each semester the group decides what topics they would like to discuss and with direction and guidance from their teachers, they explore different aspects of the Bible.
Some "semester projects" have been to read the Old Testament together and discuss their reaction, closely study select books of the Bible and learning more about people whose lives they might not normally study in "Sunday School."
Many of the youth in this group are also involved in St. Timothy's Youth Group. For more information about Youth Group,
